PrayerLock Privacy Policy

PrayerLock helps two partners commit to a shared prayer and fasting plan (a "lock"). This policy explains what information the PrayerLock app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Contact: sales@joinprayerlock.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a user ID when you sign in with an email link, email and password, or Google sign-in. Sign-in is handled by our backend provider, Supabase.
- Profile name. The display name you choose.
- Lock and plan details. Lock name, focus, duration, start date, prayer times, pairing code, your fasting plan type and window, an optional fasting note, and your status in the lock (active, paused or left).
- Your content. Check-ins, answered prayers / testimonies, prayer requests, and voice prayers you choose to record.
- Microphone. Used only when you tap to record a voice prayer.
- On-device settings. Preferences and reminder settings stored locally on your phone.
How your information is shared
- Your paired partner. Each lock has at most two members. Your partner can see your profile name, the lock plan, your fasting plan and your status. Check-ins, testimonies, prayer requests and voice prayers are private by default; your partner sees an item only if you choose to share that item, and only while they remain an active member of the lock.
- Invite preview. Anyone holding a lock's pairing code can see a short preview before joining: the lock's plan, prayer times, the inviter's fasting type and window, the inviter's first name, and the invite expiry. It never includes emails, fasting notes, check-ins, prayers or audio.
- Service providers. We use Supabase to host our database, authentication and file storage, and Google if you choose Google sign-in. They process data on our behalf.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or share data with advertisers or data brokers. The app has no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Voice recordings
Voice prayers are uploaded to a private storage bucket. Only you, and your partner for recordings you choose to share, can access them. Deleting a recording in the app removes the local file and the stored copy.
Notifications
Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device using your time zone. No push-notification service is used to send them.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access is restricted by database access rules so users can only read their own data and what a partner has shared with them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual recordings and locks you own in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email sales@joinprayerlock.com from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my PrayerLock account". We will complete the request within 30 days. See how to delete your account.
Fasting safety
PrayerLock offers spiritual fasting plans (for example food windows, Daniel-style, or media fasts). It is not medical advice and is not a medical or health device. Speak with a doctor before fasting, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, diabetic, have an eating disorder, take medication, or have any health condition. Stop fasting and seek help if you feel unwell.
Children
PrayerLock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Paid features
PrayerLock Plus is not available for purchase in the current version, and the app does not collect payment information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do.
